GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR AIR-CONDITIONER INSTALLATION WARRANTY

  • This limited warranty is expressly applicable for residential air conditioners installed by Newway Systems Pte Ltd (Newway) only.
  • This limited warranty is valid only on completion of the installation of the air conditioner unit and effective when all necessary documents are processed within the stipulated date.
  • This limited warranty is rendered invalid if there is a change in address for the specific air conditioning unit installed under the original address indicated in Newway records.
  • Any extension of warranty provided under promotional offers will not include the cost of labour and transportation for replacement works, unless stated otherwise.
  • An official Newway invoice and deliver order must be produced when making claims under this warranty.

This warranty does not cover any unit damaged by:

  • Accidents, malfunctions or damages resulting from natural disasters, fire and/or civil unrest.
  • Defects from using wrong electrical supply, misuse, damage by negligence, tampering or act of god.
  • Usage in places where air is polluted with dust particles or chemical fumes.
  • The use of old/existing pipes prior to installation.
  • Normal wear and tear, condensation, corrosion, rusting or staining.
  • Water leakage due to blockage of drain pipes under normal use.

This warranty does not cover:

  • Routine maintenance servicing and/or cleaning.
  • Special equipment /scaffoldings / cranes / false ceilings / concealed access to installation location necessary for accessibility or safety requirements.
  • Transportation, handling or delivery charges incurred for checking defects not under warranty.
  • Labour, transportation and miscellaneous charges for the replacement of indicated specified component. (All replacement and recovery must be performed by Newway)

This warranty becomes void when:

  • The air conditioning unit is found to have been tampered, modified, the serial number defaced, removed or repaired by any unauthorized person(s).
  • Any alteration or modification is carried out to the unit.
  • The unit is for commercial purpose, rental or on loan to other users.
  • Routine maintenance servicing where necessary was not carried out.

All incidental or consequential damages are expressly excluded. Newway Systems Pte Ltd reserves the rights to amend, add, delete or vary any of the above terms and conditions and exclusion clauses with regards to this Warranty without prior notice.
